I find that I really love the simple things in life. I don’t know if my husband would agree, but it doesn’t take much to make me happy. For example, one of my favorite things is those twin popsicles. I love to have them while watching my favorite TV show in the evening. They really put a smile on my face. Now what about soap?
Most of the time I want to use two or three different colors in my soap. When feeling adventurous I’ll do four. I love doing swirls, tiger stripes, and layers. There are so many different techniques that I am looking forward to trying that require a few different colors.
However, this week I did a single color batch due to the troublesome fragrance oil. I was really bummed about it while prepping. I was racking my brain trying to figure out what to do to get an extra color in the batch. Fortunately, I decided to heed the advice of others and kept it simple. It turned out so beautiful. I couldn’t be happier. It’s often said that less is more and it’s certainly true in this case.
A single color soap is like a little black dress. It’s timeless, beautiful, and everyone should have one. It must be brought out every once and a while.
